NECAC PRESENTS PATRICK WITH 25 YEAR AWARD AND NEW CONTRACT

 Don Patrick of Louisiana (center), President & CEO of the 12-county area not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) headquartered in Bowling Green, was presented with a 25 year appreciation plaque and a two year employment contract extension during the agency board of directors meeting on Sept. 28.  The appreciation plaque was presented by NECAC Chairman of the Board Lyndon Bode of Marion County (left) and Secretary of the Board D. Randall Cone of Pike County.  Under Patrick’s 25 year leadership, the agency has grown from a $2.5 million agency in 1985 to its current $30.1 million and from 35 full-time to over 140 full-time and 250 part-time employees.  NECAC is a social service, community health and public housing agency that contracts with local, state and federal governments, private businesses and other non-profit groups to administer and deliver self-sufficiency programs to the low-income, elderly, youth, handicapped and disadvantaged
